Dr. Mark Hyman: Nutritional Supplements
Dr. Mark Hyman discusses new research that shows the very real benefits of certain supplements - and shares his opinion of the four supplements everyone should take. He believes that doctors who have a dismissive attitude towards these supplements have simply not done their scientific ‘homework’. He concludes that for a few pennies per day, these supplements can save us a lot f money otherwise spent on medical treatment.

As a supplement investigator and author myself I’d caution against wide spread high potency folic acid supplementation. Folic acid is needed for cell replication. Cancer cells also need folic acid also and there is some speculation that it may be inappropriate for those with a history or predisposition to cancer. when in doubt keep it simple and get it from food before turning to folic acid supplements
