Different Kinds of Meditation to Control Anxiety
Different types of meditation exists and all of them can be categorized into two:
- Meditation based on concentration - This kind of meditation focuses on that which does not need conscious thought. The main objective is to clear the mind from everything and to concentrate on breathing patterns, a tangible object or do chants.
- Meditation that fills the mind - Mindful meditation on the overhand focuses on one’s thoughts and emotions without being overcome by them. It’s objective is to make the mind at peace. This kind of meditation is very good at treating obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Both kinds of meditation is effective to people with anxiety. A lot of people will find that both methods, especially alternating between them, produces the best results.
