Cardio Exercises for Health Kids


Today, with so many forms of electronic entertainment available, it can be tough to get kids off the couch. As a result, childhood obesity levels are skyrocketing. Making your children exercise does not have to be a battle. The key is to find things they like participating in that also involve some element of fitness. Listed here are fitness ideas that your kids will love.

  • Tennis - As an alternative to traditional sports, tennis is a great option. Tennis involves many fitness elements, such as cardio and hand-eye coordination. Also, it will build certain muscles and give your child an excellent way to meet and make new friends.
  • Hacky sack - An inexpensive and easy way to get your children active, it improves balance and coordination and helps kids develop skills to work with other people. Also, this is a fairly non competitive sport in terms of facing other people.
  • Dancing - Even if traditional dance classes are not an attractive option, you could just dance with your kids to songs on the radio. This will develop coordination and balance, in addition to encouraging creativity.
  • Video Games - Though games usually have a negative connotation, over the years, many fitness video games have been developed. One popular choice is the Dance Dance Revolution games. Also, the Nintendo Wii has many fitness based games. If the kids are having a good time, they will not even notice all the exercise they are receiving.
  • Soccer - Soccer is not one of the most popular youth sports for no reason. In addition to being enjoyable, it also improves coordination, footwork, and conditioning. There are many leagues that do not keep score, in case the level of competition is a concern to you.
  • Swimming - Laps in a pool is an excellent workout that does not cause a lot of damage to joints and cartilage. Most children love to swim, and a pool is one of the best places to meet new kids.
  • Jump rope - Whether jumping the regular way or playing a game, this activity improves many area of fitness. If your child gets enough into it, there are plenty of competitions available.

Getting your kids involved has many benefits. In addition to healthier children, you may get a workout as well!
