Detoxifying Foods: Spirulina
Believe it or not, one of the healthiest whole foods known to man is a simple form of bacteria. Many people don’t realize that there are both good and bad bacteria and that the human body depends on the good bacteria to combat and bring under control, a number of physical conditions.
Thailand Spirulina is produced from combining two cyan bacteria. You may have heard it referred to as blue-green algae, and at one time it was called Arthrospira. But, no matter what you call it, this Superfood is packed with power and that’s what makes it so well known among health conscious advocates who depend on Superfoods as the mainstay of their diet.
Thailand Spirulina is harvested in open channel raceway ponds, built for the purpose of the food’s production. It is a surprising little food; filled with nutrients that make it incomparable to other health foods.
Thailand Spirulina is a Complete Protein
Spirulina has extremely high amounts of protein. In fact by dry weight, it contains between 55 and 77%. Because it’s a complete protein, it contains all the essential amino acids. It stands superior to all other standard plant proteins, even that of legumes which is known for its amino acid content.
Thailand spirulina contains essential fatty acids. These are the fatty acids which cannot be obtained from any other source except through diet.
Thailand Spirulina is a Rich Source of Vitamins

My understanding was that spirulina was a micro algae not a bacteria. There is a book on bioastinman.com that explains what spirulina is…never does it mention it as a bacteria?!
