Detoxifying Foods: Pineapple

Thailand Pineapple is a Superfood that everybody loves. Sweet, juicy with an appealing color, the Thailand Pineapple is chock full of nutrition and can be used for dozens of applications in meal preparation, recipes and adds a beautiful flair of color to any plate.

The tricky thing for some people is getting inside the pineapple to get to the sweet juice and pulp. It isn’t really difficult. Even though the skin of the Pineapple looks sharp and spiny, you’ll find the spikes are fairly soft and easy to cut through.

Once inside, you’ll find the delicious juice and pineapple meat that makes the fruit so popular. It can be used for a multitude of purposes. Many people drink the juice straight, others add it to smoothies or other fruit juices to make juice cocktails.

The meat of the Pineapple is a brilliant yellow and quite tempting. Few people can see the fruit without taking a bite. It has a taste of its own which can be enjoyed by eating the fruit raw; or it can be added to lots of hot main dish courses to give them an extra zing.

No doubt Thailand Pineapple is loved for its great taste and eye appeal, but that’s just part of the picture. The fruit is high on the list of nutritious raw foods because of all the healthy benefits it offers.
