During the cleanse, you must avoid foods that have been fermented. Cheese, yeast breads, tomato paste, beer and mushrooms are just a few that are on the list. While you are on the diet, you need to lower your intake of carbohydrates as well as foods containing starch. It’s OK to consume foods with lower carb values like legumes, greens, and tofu.

During the first week of the diet you must cut out carbohydrates so that no more than 40% of your calories comes form sugars. Once the diet is complete, it is important to remember that you will need to alter your eating habits to keep Candida at bay. In fact, your diet is the most crucial issue involving overcoming the fungus.
